Hello web3 and education frens,
Welcome to all my new subscribers from this past week. If you haven’t subscribed yet, click here, or use the button below to join over 100+ others learning about the intersection of web3 and education.
This week we have a variety of examples exploring different ways that web3 technologies are being used to shift paradigms of teaching and learning. We all know that chatGPT is all the rage right now, but we are seeing how it can be employed in schools in a variety of ways.
I believe that the more that we explore its uses the more disrupted it will be. The uncertain future that we are trending towards may arrive sooner than we think.
In our first article, we'll explore how ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence language model, is being used to save teachers time and enhance the learning experience for students. From creating personalized quizzes and tests to automating grading and feedback, ChatGPT is streamlining administrative tasks and enabling teachers to focus on what matters most: teaching.
Next, we'll take a look at Binance's integration of ChatGPT into its Web3 Academy. By leveraging the power of AI, Binance is creating an immersive and interactive learning environment that enables students to access customized learning resources and interact with experts in real-time. This integration underscores the potential of Web3 to create personalized, secure, and borderless educational experiences.
In our third article, we'll explore how the Alliance City School District in Ohio is using ChatGPT to automate routine administrative tasks and improve overall efficiency. The integration of AI technology in education is becoming increasingly common, and ChatGPT's use in the district reflects this trend.
Finally, we'll examine how Animoca Brands’ subsidiary, TinyTap, has raised $8.5 million to disrupt education using Web3 technologies. TinyTap's platform allows teachers and students to create and share educational games, quizzes, and activities and includes blockchain technology for increased security and transparency. TinyTap's funding reflects the growing interest in using blockchain technology in education to create new opportunities for educators, students, and content creators.

This article explores how ChatGPT can help save teachers time in a variety of applications. For example by creating personalized quizzes and tests for students based on their learning levels and interests. Another example is through assisting with grading and feedback. By inputting student work, the model can grade it and offer suggestions for improvement.
There are a number of other examples that the author outlines and explains. It was refreshing to see a platform like Edutopica sharing about how ChatGPT has the potential to be a valuable tool for teachers looking to streamline their workload and focus more on teaching and providing personalized attention to their students.

This article dives into how Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has integrated ChatGPT into its Web3 Academy to enhance the learning experience of students interested in blockchain and Web3 technologies. ChatGPT will be used to provide personalized responses to students' queries, curate and recommend educational content, and facilitate real-time interactions between students and instructors. This integration aims to create an immersive and interactive learning environment that caters to the needs of diverse learners and promotes the adoption of decentralized technologies.
This integration of LLMs into Binance's Web3 Academy represents a step towards a vision of web3-enabled learning, as it enables students to access customized learning resources and interact with experts in real time, regardless of their geographic location or time zone. This integration also underscores the potential of AI and machine learning to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of education, by automating repetitive tasks and providing intelligent insights to learners and educators alike.
Admin Use ChatGPT
Text from the ChatGPT page of the OpenAI website Richard Drew/AP
Interesting article about how the Alliance City School District in Ohio has begun using ChatGPT to assist with its administrative tasks. The AI-powered program can generate emails, take meeting notes, and provide real-time support to staff members, among other tasks. The district's superintendent says that the program will free up administrative staff to focus on other responsibilities and improve overall efficiency.
While the use of AI technology in the classroom is becoming increasingly common, this is the first time I have heard of ChatGPT's integration for administrative tasks. It is true that the program has the potential to automate routine administrative tasks, reduce staff workload, and enhance productivity, but concerns regarding privacy, security, and bias remain.
Teacher-generated Content on the Blockchain
TinyTap, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced that it has raised $8.5 million in funding for its platform aiming to disrupt education using Web3 technologies. The Israeli-based company's platform allows teachers and students to create and share educational games, quizzes, and activities. The platform also includes blockchain technology, enabling users to buy and sell digital assets related to education.
I have discussed previously how the use of blockchain technology in education offers several advantages, such as increased security, transparency, and decentralization. In addition to these things, the ability to create and sell educational assets on a blockchain-based platform can incentivize teachers to create more engaging and interactive content, and enable students to take ownership of their learning. It will be interesting to see if this can help create new opportunities for educators, students, and content creators.
