Hello Ed3 frens,
Technology moves fast. It’s hard to keep up. Once you feel like you’ve mastered one technology, another one pops up with its own set of rules.
AI is the perfect representation of this quickly evolving reality.
In the last three years alone we’ve seen AI evolve from the expansion of large language models to the rise of generative AI to the emergence of multimodal AI and then to the democratization of AI tools.
Well, there’s a new progression happening, and it’s moving quickly.
Agentic AI is making its way into the discussions of the leading technologies and AI experts. Recently Salesforce made a big announcement and push for its own Agentfoce AI systems.
As difficult and daunting as it may be, we as educators must continue to learn along with these new AI systems. But that’s why I am here.
This week I share a couple of resources that will help you better understand the basics of Aagentic AI and how it could impact our systems of education.
This could be in automated assessment and feedback, autonomous tutoring systems, report generation, behavioral updates and alerts, or even family communications.
So please read the article on Agentic AI: The New Frontier in Generative AI closely, and also read through our deep dive that explores the March of the Web3 AI Agents: An Undead Internet Theory. Our other two resources for the week focus on Bitcoin and crypto with one article on Dallas College Leads with Innovative Bitcoin Mining Training and Certification Program and the other on A conversation with Pauline Cohen Vorms, Co-Founder and CEO of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy.

March of the Web3 AI Agents: An Undead Internet Theory
This article discusses how agentic AI is a significant evolution from the Web2 bots proposed in the "Dead Internet Theory" to the more autonomous and complex emerging Web3 agents. These AI agents aren’t just executing simple, repetitive tasks—they’re acting independently, taking on intricate assignments like content creation, managing digital interactions, or even executing trades.
For education, this evolution opens up possibilities that go beyond simple automation. Imagine agentic AI handling personalized learning plans or stepping in as virtual mentors. But as with every leap in technology, we need to think critically. How do we embrace these opportunities while staying grounded in the ethical and human-centered values that education relies on? That’s the question we’ll need to keep at the forefront as agentic AI begins shaping the future of our schools. Read
