It's time to bring back the vibe that it's OK to think big
Hello Ed3 Community,
In the early days of web3-mania, back in 2021, it was exciting to dream big. We talked about how web3 would change the world, with everyone using crypto and music albums being minted as NFTs—you know the deal.
When the web3 bull market started hitting, we all pivoted to getting the small wins. Concerned about being told that web3 wasn’t “doable” everyone focused on building products that did something, however small it may be.
It gives me excitement to know that we’ve grown past this stage. It’s cool to think big again.
Our resources this week highlight how organizations and schools are embracing ambitious ideas within the blockchain ecosystem. The evidence is in the significant flow of funds into the space.
Colleges are being awarded grants to provide blockchain education, digital education is expanding in Africa, and big checks are being written to develop VR in our universities.
As we explore in our weekly deep dive, the more well-established web3 platforms are launching initiatives in the millions of dollars for tens, if not hundreds, of millions of users globally.
It’s an exciting time to be in web3 and blockchain and it’s OK to think big again.

KIP Protocol's $10m DAO Proposal Approved to Transform Education for 250 Million Students Globally
This article announces a major grant to support an initiative by Open Campus and the KIP Protocol to expand web3 education across the globe. This initiative is thinking big with $10 million approved to reach over 250 million students across the globe.
The goal is also aimed to achieve the following:
Onboarding 400 professors
Offering 900 curated courses
Attracting 1 million new Open Campus learners
This is an exciting and massive announcement and demonstrates the massive growth that we are seeing in the web3 and blockchain space. This could be the start of other similar-sized initiatives that can help board a new generation of learning into web3.
